Ragia Forest Hike

The Ragia Forest trek through the Aberdares is a breathtaking trail starting from Sasumua Dam. It takes hikers through thick bamboo, indigenous forest, elephant trails, and stunning waterfalls. The route is refreshing, rich in birdlife, and offers a chance to explore untouched forest beauty.

Itinerary

• 5:30 am – Meet at Nairobi Nation Centre, briefing and departure

• 8:30 am – Arrival at Sasumua Dam trailhead, warm-up and start hike

• Mid-morning – Trek through the bamboo forest and elephant trails

• Late morning – Visit the waterfalls for rest, photos, and exploration

• Early afternoon – Continue forest loop and reconnect to the trailhead

• 3:00 pm – Finish hike at Sasumua Dam

• 6:00 pm – Arrive back in Nairobi
